BellSouth Summer Swing Minor League Baseball Tour Revs Up 2005 Season With Stop at Nashville Sounds Games

NASHVILLE, Tenn., June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The smell of freshly cut grass ... The crack of the bat after a sharply hit line drive. Baseball season is in full swing, and that means it's time for the BellSouth Summer Swing to hit Nashville.
Building upon the excitement and fan-friendliness of minor league baseball, BellSouth's Summer Swing will visit historic ballparks across the Southeast this summer, including Greer Stadium, and serve up a hearty helping of baseball-themed entertainment and a full menu of BellSouth's latest products and services.
Fans headed to the Nashville Sounds games against the Memphis Redbirds on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2, are invited to stop by the BellSouth eZone before first pitch for the ultimate pre-game event. At the eZone, the entertainment and technological anchor of the BellSouth Summer Swing, fans can gear up for the game by posing questions to their favorite players in the BellSouth Fan/Player Interview or by testing the velocity of their fastball in the BellSouth Fast Pitch Challenge. The hurlers with the fastest pitch will win a baseball equipment bag. Additionally, fans can participate in the High Speed Answers(R) Trivia Contest, using BellSouth's FastAccess(R) DSL to surf the Internet and find answers to baseball-related questions for the chance to win cool prizes.
Other exciting features of the eZone include laptop computers showcasing BellSouth's FastAccess(R) DSL service allowing fans to surf the Internet and check email, as well as TVs broadcasting exclusive DirecTV programming. Fans can also sample the latest in BellSouth technology and satisfy their communication needs by making local and long distance calls or taking advantage of bundling opportunities to help save money on their BellSouth bill.
In one of its most appealing consumer giveaways ever, BellSouth is giving fans the chance to register for the "Xtreme Bundle," the ultimate multi-media prize package. Fans can visit the eZone all season long, or visit http://www.bellsouthsports.com/ to register for their chance to win. At the end of the season, one lucky fan will win the entire bundle, which includes: a 42" Flat Screen Plasma TV, laptop computer, wireless router, Digital Video Recorder, cell phone, PDA, BellSouth cordless phone, and tickets to the fall Atlanta stockcar race, 2005 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, and 2006 Men's College Basketball Tournament.
