SIRE Technologies and Client Honored with National Awards SALT LAKE CITY --(Business Wire)-- SIRE Technologies' agenda and content management solutions suite prove to be some of the World's best of breed -- according to three leading independent panels.
Three organizations, The Enterprise Content Management Connection, Software and Information Industry Association and the Public Technology Institute, have all independently acknowledged SIRE Technologies' products as some of the best available.
"We are thrilled to have been ranked among the industry's best technology," said Kris Painter, President of SIRE Technologies. "These awards validate our development practices and recognize our dedication to being a leader of innovation. I'm proud of our elite team of skillful programmers and technicians who have made it possible to achieve such a high level of excellence."
The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Connection pronounced SIRE among the top 5 in the government category of its annual ACE awards. The award is designed to honor companies' noteworthy achievement across three criteria: Appeal, Content, and Education.
The Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) also ranked SIRE Electronic Content Management Systems among the top five "Best Document Management Solutions" for 2007. These awards celebrate achievement and vision in software, education technology and digital content.
Thanks in large part to its implementation of a combined solution from SIRE Technologies and Granicus, San Carlos, California is the proud winner of the Public Technology Institute's Technology Solutions Award.
The city of San Carlos won the award in the Web Services category for using a Web/RSS service to enable the public to track city council business in detail. They implemented a system using SIRE Agenda Plus(TM) which affects several components of city council meetings. San Carlos' pre-meeting activities such as agenda creation are streamlined with the system; meeting activities including taking minutes of the meeting are automated; and post-meeting activities such as posting agendas with attachments, summaries and minutes to the Web are made possible. Videos of the meeting can even be posted online using Granicus.
"City commissioners and the public are thrilled with this technology because it gives them access to city information at any time," said San Carlos City Clerk Christine Boland. "I want to give credit to SIRE and its partner Granicus for providing stellar products and services that go above and beyond what can normally be expected."
According to the PTI website, the Technology Solutions Award winners are selected by an independent panel of judges who reward PTI member local governments that can demonstrate how they apply technology to improve service delivery, reduce operating costs or create new revenue opportunities.
San Carlos will be recognized at the 2007 PTI Technology Leadership Conference, May 6-8 at the Adam's Mark hotel in Denver.
