BRIEF: Cricket launches Web site in Spanish

EL PASO, Jul 01, 2009 (El Paso Times - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Cricket Communications this week launched its Spanish-language Web site, www.MiCricket.com.

The San Diego-based company developed the Web site because employees and Spanish-speaking customers wanted an online environment to explore and shop for Cricket products and services, Michelle Pujol, director of direct channel operations, said in a written statement.

Hispanic customers make up about a third of Cricket's customers, compared with 11 percent of the wireless industry on average, show data from the Yankee Group, a technology research firm, and reported by Cricket.
