TRENDnet (News - Alert), a wired and wireless networking hardware brand, has announced the availability of 450Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router, model TEW-692GR.
First of its kind, this versatilerouter can be used to avail 450 Mbps speeds on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless bands concurrently for a total theoretical throughput of 900 Mbps.
According to the company, only popular Dual Band network configuration will help in assigning the low interference 5 GHz band to media center devices and the more popular 2.4 GHz band to computers and peripherals that are typically only able to connect using the 2.4 GHz frequency.

The new TEW-692GR offers user friendly features, where users have to just press a button to enable Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) that integrates other WPS supported wireless.
Users can just press the WPS button on the TEW-692GR, and then press the WPS button on a compatible wireless adapter to automatically exchange information and connect over a secure encrypted wireless signal. WMM technology further prioritizes video and audio packets. Gigabit Ethernet ports maintain high performance wired connections.
The company is currently offering the 450Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router, model TEW-692GR for U.S. $249.99 with a three year limited warranty, available online and from retail partners.
TRENDnet’s recent release includes portable 3G Mobile Wireless N Router, model TEW-656BRG, which shares a single internet connection from a compatible Sprint, AT&T (News
- Alert), Verizon, or other USB 3G /3.75G modem, with multiple users.
